Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at VailValleyOrganizer@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

My expertise will help anyone who has a family member who needs help with finances and budgeting. For example, if a spouse passes away and he/she was the one who managed the finances, the surviving spouse may have no idea how to handle everything. It is a very overwhelming and stressful scenario that can create a sense of dread, denial, and ultimately could lead to late fees and penalties, bill collections, harassing phone calls from creditors, and possibly even eviction from a residence.

  • Most importantly, I care about your family and will advocate on your behalf!  I believe that everyone can attain financial security.
  • I will meet with you and together we will design the perfect plan that will ensure you know the exact cash flow, what bills need to be paid, and how to pay those bills in the most efficient manner for your scenario and comfort level.
  • I have developed my own reporting system and spreadsheets that reflect the entire status of your dynamic financial snapshots.

Great question! After we have completed the initial financial and cashflow analysis, I offer a monthly recurring maintenance service that will reconcile each month’s credit card and bank statements. This can uncover any discrepancies, billing errors, or budgeting concerns.

I am not a tax accountant.  You will be able to provide a year-end income/expense summary that you can provide to your tax accountant that will not only make his/her job easier, it will save you the billable hours that your tax accountant will charge you for having to organize a box of papers, statements, receipts, and forms.

My primary service area is the entire Vail Valley.  However, current technology also allows for remote assistance.

My standard hourly rate is $105. As you investigate the rates charged by financial professionals, you will discover that tax preparation rates are anywhere between $85 and $130 per hour for general prep services that ONLY apply to their task of doing your taxes. My service provides you with a personal advocate who truly wants to make your life less complicated so you can enjoy quality time with your family and friends.

  • I graduated from Portland State University with a B.S. in Management plus a certificate in International Business.
  • I received a certificate from Denver Paralegal Institute.
  • I attained an AAS Degree in Microcomputer Support Specialist.
  • I earned an Occupational Proficiency Certificate as a Microcomputer Specialist from Colorado Mountain College.
  • Numerous continuing education courses in categories of QuickBooks, Excel and Word (Microsoft Office Suite), software, accounting, IT, human resources, website design, relational databases, and supervisory training.
  • I am a Notary Public.

While all my degrees, certifications, and work history are important, my personal experience of needing to assist my mother after my father passed away was extraordinarily eye-opening and concerning. I learned that my father not only handled all of the financial aspects, but lovingly shielded her from any stress related to worrying about the details. She was absolutely overwhelmed at the reality of everything that she now had to manage. Coupled with declining health issues, she simply wasn’t able to take care of herself.

This ultimately lead me to my own perfect path of knowing what my true purpose is. It may have taken a few decades, but I now have my “dream job” of knowing I can help other families in similar situations.

Rest assured that whatever your particular situation entails, I can help you organize, manage, and accomplish the goals you have in mind.

We can make it happen together!
